Michael David Todorovich was born and raised in the mountains of West Virginia.  Although he found little enjoyment in public schooling, he worked diligently to educate himself on the subjects of nature, religion, and literature.  This love of knowledge inspired him to write poetry, short fiction, and creative nonfiction.  After graduating from high school, Michael joined the United States Army where he served in a variety of capacities before becoming a technical writer of military documents.  After leaving the service, he completed his Bachelor of Arts at West Virginia University Institute of Technology.  During his senior year at WVUIT, he published several poems and won the college’s literary magazine’s first place award for both poetry and prose.  He recently completed his Master of Arts in English and Creative Writing (Nonfiction) at Southern New Hampshire University.  To celebrate graduating, he sauntered along the path around Walden Pond, eventually doffing his clothes, and swimming in the frigid water.

Michael resides in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, with his wife and four children.  In addition to writing, he also enjoys spending time in nature, playing guitar, pipe smoking, painting, and philosophizing about the inconsequential details of life.
